Student Attitude and Behaviour Report for Term two is now available on the Parent Portal.
This new report will provide you with a much more comprehensive overview of how your child is going in those areas.
Click your child’s photo, then click Dashboard, then Reporting and then click Term 2, Attitude and Behaviour.
Don’t forget that by the end of June, your child’s academic report will also be published at the same place.
As power has returned we will be undertaking the testing today – writing and language conventions.
Just letting all parents know that due to the power outage and the fact the classrooms are quite dark due to the rain, we will not be undertaking NAPLAN this morning (and possibly not today depending on when power returns). I have been in contact with the NAPLAN administrators and the Department of Education about this, and the times in which we will make up the tests. More information will follow when we have more information.

I am writing to reassure you in light of the recent hoax threatening phone calls to Victorian schools in the last few days.
Our school has not received such a call but I wanted to inform you that, like all schools, we have an Emergency Management Plan (EMP) in place for situations like this and we practise it throughout the year. The EMP is reviewed periodically by School Council and staff.
Those schools which did receive a threatening call enacted their EMPs and they worked well.
Before school this morning (Wednesday 3rd February), Moriac staff met and went over our Bomb Threat evacuation procedures, which are already part of our EMP. Any such call to this school will be taken extremely seriously.
The safety and wellbeing of our students is always our top priority.
If you have any questions, please contact me.

Last year, the school made the call to go to a 50 metre swimming venue for our House Swimming Competition to provide our students with potential pathways to further compete in elite swimming events. While we are still checking qualification times, it appears that over 20 of our swimmers have qualified for the Bellarine Division swimming competition. This certainly vindicates our decision. We will be sending further information home to the successful qualifiers as soon as possible.
