Monday 3rd March – 3/4 Students
Tuesday 4th March – 5/6 Students
Next week the 3/4 and 5/6 students will be representing Moriac Primary School at the Surf Coast Soccer World Cup. The event is being held at the Surf Coast Shire Ovals on Torquay Highway (across the road from Bunnings) and is being run by the Surf Coast Football Club.
The tournament commences at 10am. Every child will be placed in a team. The focus of the day is about participation. Students don’t need to know the rules completely to participate and they will receive instruction during the matches from trained coaches.
Children are required to bring their own snack, lunch, drinks, hat and appropriate footwear (runners are fine) and any medical items required, e.g. Ventolin. All medical items should be labelled. Students are to wear school uniform on the day.
Please see the note attached for any further information.

We have had a couple of good weeks in sport at Moriac PS. Our year three to six students were fantastic at the SSA Athletics competition at Landy Field last week and won the trophy. Our Cross Country team were just as fantastic at Eastern Gardens the week prior. Once we know who has qualified for the next rounds, we will publicly congratulate them on our website, newsletter and at an assembly. In the meantime, here are some of the Cross Country snaps taken by one of our families.
Below are photos of some of the wonderful sporting gear we have received through the COLES sports for schools. We thank Coles and everyone who supported the school.
Just a reminder to parents that the school house athletics will be held on FRIDAY (26th April). Parents and friends are welcome to attend. If you are able to assist on the day there is a sign up sheet located in the office.
Thank you – we look forward to seeing everyone on Friday!
Friday 14th December is the 3-6 House swimming sports held at the Winchelsea swimming pool. All students are required to wear a hat, sunscreen, bring their snack and lunch and be prepared to have a fun day!
