This Friday the 4th of September (after the Father’s Day Breakfast) we are running a whole school maths morning. The Grade 5/6 students are running the activities in the prep, 1/2 and 3/4 rooms between 9.45am and 11am.
Family and friends are invited, please come along!
What a great day yesterday!
Thank you to everyone who attended, especially the Moriac Kinder children who came to visit.
Thank you to Norma, Lyn and Terri for all the wonderful work they do in the Library throughout the year.
Here is a taste, there are more photos to come…..
In week 7 of this term we will be celebrating Children’s Book Week. The theme this year is ‘Books Light Up Our World’. We will be celebrating throughout the week with students participating in a range of activities based on this year’s theme and nominated books. On Wednesday the 26th August students are asked to dress up as a book character and will participate in a whole school parade at 10:45 am should you wish to attend.
We look forward to a fun filled week of activities.
The annual Moriac Primary School Mothers’ Day Stall will be held on Friday 8th May from 9:00am to 11:00am approximately. We require some helpers to set up on Thursday afternoon and also on Friday to assist with the sale of items to students. Please contact Donna or Lynn in the school office if you are able to assist. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
The following note will be going home with each student.
END OF YEAR CLASS PARTY
This year we will be holding an end of year class party in every level of the school on the same day and at the same time. This is a time the students can celebrate the end of year with their teachers and class mates.
DATE: Wednesday 17th December
BRING: We are asking all students to bring a plate of food to share with their class. They are also required to bring a plate and a cup from home.
As we are a nut free school we ask that there is no food containing nuts brought to the class party.
We would like a mix of foods at the party including savoury, fruit, drink and sweet so the students can have a selection. It is your decision if this will replace lunch for your child or if you would still like to send lunch to school with your child.
Below we have listed the suggestion from your child and some ideas for food. We ask that any hot food is brought up to school at the time, as we have nowhere to heat it all, and we ask that if it is home made a list of ingredients is also sent to school.
YOUR CHILD HAS SAID THEY MAY BE ABLE TO BRING_______________________________
HERE ARE OME SUGGESTIONS THAT MAY ASSIST YOU
Pizza pin wheels
Mini hot dogs
Any cut up fruit that is easy to eat
For your information: Classes will not be running ‘Kris Kringle’. We have asked in the newsletter that any donations to the Bethany Giving Tree (in the office) are greatly appreciated.
The JSC will be holding a PJ Day, asking for a gold coin donation, on Thursday 11th December to raise funds for the school garden.
