PJ Day – Friday 21st October – REMINDER

As part of our year 5/6 students leadership projects one group has decided to run a PJ Day (PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A GOLD COIN DONATION DAY). Please find the details from their note below.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

On Firday 21st October the school will be holding a Pajama Day for all year levels. Each student will come to school dressed in their PJ’s. Student will also require their favourite picture story book which they will read to another student in an allocated time from a different year level. This event is free and encourages multilevel relationships whilst building the love of reading an literacy skills.

Kind regards.

School Concert

It’s that time of year again, with students currently rehearsing for our annual School Concert. This year the concert is being held on Tuesday, 29th of November and will once again be held at The Geelong Arena. This is a whole school event, with all students working hard to create a selection of different songs and dances for our entire community to enjoy. Please be aware of the following dates and times;

WHEN – Tuesday, November 29th, 2016

  •        TIME – 6.30pm
  •        WHERE – The Geelong Arena (110 Victoria St, North Geelong)

Information on when tickets are available and what costumes students will need will be given out in the next few weeks. We do ask that if a student cannot be at the concert for whatever reason parents let the school know as soon as possible to assist in the organisation of the production.

GO MODDA!

Today we are supporting our local team before their GRAND FINAL tomorrow. It was great to have Scott (player) and Mick (president of the club) visit our school and speak to the students. We thank Miss Vawdrey and Mr Randall for their organisation around this.

From our school community we wish them the very best for the game tomorrow.

BOOK WEEK PARADE!

What a fantastic day (apart from the rain)!

We had a wonderful turnout from parents to watch our parade at 10.30am. Our school captains ran the parade with Mr Durkin, Mr Smith and Norma as our judges. There were books awarded as prizes for each year level.

It was fantastic to see so many wonderful original, homemade and thoughtful costumes on display. We thank everyone who was involved for their hard work.
