Just a reminder that our BOOK WEEK DRESS UP DAY AND PARADE is on Wednesday 24th August. The parade will be held at 10.30am.
On Tuesday Mr Randall along with some Parent & Friend helpers (thank you for those parents – we always appreciate the assistance we receive) organised and ran an ‘Olympic Games Morning’ to compliment all the work that has been done within the classrooms.
P – 2 spent 9 -11 am participating in lots of different activities and 3/4 9-10 am and 5/6 10-11 am participating in different activities. They rotated through activities around the school including medal making, relay races and decorating donuts in Olympic colours.
There was lots of fun had by all!

Olympics in the Preps
Throughout the Olympic Games the Preps have immersed their learning to include all things Olympics. Below are some photos showing activities being completed with an Olympic focus. Students are really enjoying following their table country during these Olympics.
In addition, students are;
- Sounding out Olympic themed words using THRASS
- Developing fine motor skills when creating their own Olympic Rings
- Developing an understanding of simple tally boards as we follow five countries
- Design personal athlete uniforms.

As you all know we are moving our library into the classrooms as we are expecting the library to be demolished during the September school holidays (to the best of our knowledge at this time).
The students are very excited about having the books in their rooms! We would like to send out a massive thank you to our wonderful volunteers Jo, Norma and Terri for all the work they have done packing the books and dividing them into the classrooms. All of your efforts are greatly appreciated by our staff and students.
Welcome back to term 3 on this windy day! We trust everyone had a lovely break.
Just a few reminders for this term –
Monday 25th July – CURRICULUM DAY – no school for students
Thursday 25th August & Tuesday 30th August – Parent / Teacher interviews 2-7pm (students finish at 2pm)

Please click on the link below to read some information regarding our reporting process.
On the first day back next term (July 11th) we will be having the students complete a task about their holidays. We would love it if the students could please bring in a couple of photos representing their holiday that could be stuck in their Writer’s Notebook. This does not mean the students necessarily need to have gone anywhere special, just a representation of some things they did.
After the School Council meeting we can confirm that our Curriculum Day in term 3 will be on MONDAY 25th JULY (week 3). There will be no school for the students on this day.
