In 1/2, we have been busy writing procedural texts and design briefs and conducting experiments.
Last week, we wrote a design brief for a paper aeroplane. We tested them and then got the student whose plane flew the furthest to teach the other students their design. We then tested them again and discussed the different constraints such as the thrust and the construction. It was great fun!
Last week, we wrote a design brief for a paper boat. The boat must hold five specific objects. We will be finishing our construction of the boats this week and testing them. After we’ve tested them, we will be learning how to make two different types of origami boats.
